Why does my Ford E350 refuse to start?
When it refuses to start, there is spark and fuel pressure is 35 psi. So it is not the fuel pump or the pressure regulator or the TFI. It seems like the injectors refuse to release any fuel into the cylinders.
Why does my Ford F350 starter stay on?
Have a 2000 f350 7.3 super duty. The starter stayed engaged and I was unable to turn off the motor, although turning the ignition back to off, the starter stayed on. Ultimately the starter burned out and was shot. I replaced the starter and the ignition tumbler in the steering wheel.
What happens when a starter goes bad on a Ford Econoline?
When a starter goes bad, they will usually not give you much warning first. Also, if you are stuck somewhere and are trying to start your Econoline, the old beat the starter with a hammer trick is not a wives tale. It really can get that one last start out of it. There are a lot of issues that can cause your Econoline to crank, but not start.
Are there two pumps in a 1989 Ford E350?
Yes your 1989 has two pumps, one in the tank and one on the frame. You can look at the harness where it connects to the tank, there are 4 wires in it. Thanks Ron. The harness to the tank has only three conductors. I disconnected the connector at the tank, turned on the key (and heard the pump on the rail start), and then reattached the connector.
