Where is the igniter on a gas fridge?
The igniter / burner is normally located in the bottom left hand corner of the fridge at the back of the appliance and older models had sight hole or aperture in that position inside the fridge. Unfortunately the fridge is not designed to run on battery though it will run connected to the 12S supply when towing.
Why does my propane refrigerator not ignite when not on auto?
If it tries to ignite on gas but fails when selected on auto and it works fine when not plugged into an outlet most likely there is a control board issue. It is not sending the correct signals based on what power source is selected.

My Norcold RV fridge does not work on l.p. anymore. It was working OK on gas and not on electric. I replaced the power supply. Now electric is working but gas not. The gas lights steady but the spark keeps going like the igniter does not know the flame is OK!

The refrigerator works on electric, but does not get as cold as it should. At the camp site, it works fine on gas. But, when we travel to and from the camp site, we put refrigerator on gas, but the refrigerator is not staying cold. On a 7 hrs travel, the freezer stuff starts thawing and the refrigerator items become warm. Any ideas? Thank you.
