How to troubleshoot a Newmar slideout Control Board?
I tackled the project methodically by first searching for the problem on the internet. Doing this search revealed a troubleshooting guide for our 2005 Newmar’s slideout control boards. This is what I used for my diagnosis. So, I tested as follows: Test – for the correct incoming voltage for the control board.
How can I bring my Slide Room back in?
Press the “mode button” six times quickly, then press a seventh time and hold for approximately five seconds. Wait for the red and green lights to flash, then let go of the button. Go back inside and see if the switch on the control panel will bring the room back in. If that doesn’t work, then you need to do it yourself.

Use the normal slide-out control switch to retract the room. What to do if you push a slide wall in?
In the event you’re unsuccessful pushing the wall in, on the outside, and at the top of the slide wall you’ll see two panhead screws. Take these screws out. Lift each motor up half inch or so and put the screws back in. Doing this disengages the gears, this will make the wall easier to push back in.
