How to run wiring for dual fuel tanks?

And does anyone have a simple giagram of how to run wiring for dual tanks to a single gauge… For some reason one tank feeds faster than the other so a switch needs to be wired in to check level of both tanks.. Where is the switch on a dual tank?

If you have dual tanks, there is a connector in the tan wire, inside the frame rail back near the gas tank. This is where the dual tank switch wire connects in to the passenger side tank and to the gauge wire. From the dash switch you have five wires.

The (I) goes only to the ignition, the (S) goes from the guage, to the center tap of the switch, and the (G) gets grounded. Now from the switch, your left and right sending unit wires attach to the throws of the switch.

Re: Fuel Toggle Switch, Dual Tanks, One Gauge…Help! My friend’s 30 footer had the dual motors, dual fuel tanks (stbd, port) and a single fuel gauge on a two position switch. He could switch the gauge between the two tanks. It sounds like your set up.
