What kind of engine does a 1988 Ford camper have?
I have just bought a 1988 E350 Camper (ford chassis) and have the 7.5L gasoline engine (460). The starter spins the engine fine, but I have a no start condition.
Why does my 1988 Ford camper not run?
If the pressure is low then I’d start suspecting pump/electrical problems. If the fuel pressure is within spec, then there’s no need in spending countless hours messing around with the fuel system. Have you replaced the spark plugs?

I have a 1988 Ford F-350 with an EFI 460 engine. It will start, run about 2 seconds, then dies. Will not re-start, seems to be flooding at this point. Wait a couple of hours, it will start, run a couple of seconds, die again. I have replaced the high pressure fuel pump, fuel pressure is at about 43 PSI key on, engine off.
Is there a problem with Ford 460 fuel pressure regulator?
For problems related to fuel delivery / pressure on FI Ford 460 7.5. Tried this on 2 90 F350’s and both times replacing the regulator fixed the problem. But both trucks had totally opposite symptoms Loading…
