How does the Outwell ec0cool Coolbox work?
If you follow the instructions and insert the frozen icepack into the Outwell electric EC0Cool coolbox, at the same time as plugging it in, either indoors at a plug point via a 240V AC mains supply, or with the additional DC socket pushed into a cigarette lighter socket in the van, the products stay very well chilled for days.
Where does the Coolbox go in a van?
The socket wire for the van is long enough to feed through from the back of the vehicle over the front seats to the socket. There are couple of dislikes though. The coolbox makes a quite a loud whirring noise when it’s is being powered and this made it tricky to sleep through at night.
Is it bad to run the cool box when the engine is off?
When driving, this isn’t a major problem, although, of course, the energy to run the cool box will cause extra fuel use. When the engine is off and you are still using the coolbox there is a handy indicator light on the coolbox to tell you if the vehicle battery is running low.

What kind of voltage does a CFX 50 run on?
Hi there, my CFX 50 runs on 240v, runs on 12 volt in emergency override (so the fuse is good) but it wont run in normal 12volt operation. The dual battery is currently sitting on 13.4 volts and the fridge is set to Low voltage shutoff. Any ideas / thoughts as to why it wont run would be greatly appreciated.

CFX will prefer 240v AC supply if connected along with 12v DC input. The voltage cut off settings will take charge when CFX runs on 12v DC; no impact when it runs from AC supply. I set the fridge to – 4 it never stays as that. Within a few hours it can drop to minus 29degrees Celsius.
Why is my WAECO CFX 50 not working on 240V?
My waeco cfx 50 not working on 240v or 12v, the internal light works ok, no display on the led. Ideas? Turns out the Led plug had come off, reattached, all good now. None of the buttons on control panel are working and only some of digital temp display works…can the display panel be removed for cleaning/checking, if so, how? Cheers
