How does a Newmar slide power lock work?
Think about it. When you open a slide the locks unlock and go into the pocket. It then goes all the way until it can not go any more. the brain senses this and allows the slide to move. when you close the slide the brain makes the locks move. they move until they can not go anymore and the brain then stops…..I hope this helps…
Why is my Newmar slide out not working?
Check – Insure the slide out wall locking arms are in the released position. This was quite a task as one was visible (the forward lock) and I could see that it was retracted and not holding the room in. But the aft or (rearward lock) was not visible because it was hidden by our refrigerator wall.
Is there a proximity switch on a Newmar slide?
There are NO current sensors for the lock arms or the Proximity switch. There is a Magnetic switch on each arm assbly. But, the switches will stick as you have found out and by tapping the lock housing with a hammer frees them up.
