A friend of mine who does car audio installs said that he has dealt with a couple of FOrd electrical issues while installing and said a FOrd tech told him ther have been known issues in teh ignition switch when moisture is present as well as actual problems with the factory radio.

Give that a shot as it resolved my issues except for the back up aid. It is super easy to uninstall/reinstall the new one, and it only runs like 40-60 bucks on e-bay and takes 1 hour (its plug and play, for lack of better terms) to install. The door sounds like a different problem all together though.
